This week on The Pearl Report we sat down with team owner and U17 head men’s basketball coach of Team Charlotte, Jeff McInnis.
In part one of this two part conversation, Coach McInnis speaks about the foundation of Team Charlotte, their growth and success and how they approach the selection process of athletes.
*Notables: 98% of Coach McInnis’ 2018 – U17 team earned division 1 college scholarships. Historically, Team Charlotte’s U17 team places well over 50% of their players in college basketball programs.

As a player Jeff McInnis won a state championship at West Charlotte High School and finished his high school career at Oak Hill Academy. He played his college basketball at UNC Chapel Hill and played for Hall of Fame coach Dean Smith. After college he was drafted by the Denver Nuggets and spent over a decade in the NBA.
Coach McInnis coaching accolades include several state high school championships, AAU Nationals and a national championship trophy on the Under Armour travel circuit in 2015.
