Charlotte — Conference USA has announced that the Charlotte 49ers home game with East Division rival FIU has been rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5. The game time is set for 12:00 noon and the broadcast outlet among the family of ESPN networks will be released at a later date. You can hear the game with coverage beginning at 10AM on AM 730 and 97.5 FM.
The game was postponed from its originally scheduled date of Sat., Oct. 17.
The reschedule announcement comes on the heels of the addition of a non-conference home game with Gardner-Webb that is set for Nov. 14. Those two games give Charlotte 10 contests on its 2020 regular-season slate. The FIU game will now be the 49ers’ fourth home game of the year.
With the state announcement that allows large outdoor facilities to open at 7% capacity, the 49ers have adjusted seating capacity for Richardson Stadium to 1,072.
Due to the limited availability of seats, tickets will be distributed to UNC Charlotte students, families of team members for both Charlotte and FIU, and a small amount for University guests. Tickets will not be made available for sale for this game.
Charlotte (2-3; C-USA: 2-1) is currently tied for second place in Conference USA’s East Division. This weekend, Charlotte travels to Middle Tennessee (2-5; C-USA: 2-3) for an important C-USA East Division showdown.
