BREAKING NEWS: According to sources, NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers is so unhappy with the Green Bay Packers front office, that he has stated that he wants to depart from the organization.
The Packers have visited Rodgers on several occasions to mend fences during the offseason, but he hasn’t budged. They have stated that they are not interested in moving Rodgers, who does have three years remaining on his contract. According to Rodgers agent, Dave Dunn, he wanted a long-term security from the Packers, but they have yet to reach terms on a deal.
Other teams have inquired about Rodgers, such as the 49ers on Wednesday night and the LA Rams back in January before they acquired Matthew Stafford. Could the Panthers make an offer to the Packers that they can’t resist?
Rodgers has been disgruntled since April of last year when the organization drafted ‘his replacement’ Jordan Love. How would going after Rodgers affect Sam Darnold and the other Panther quarterbacks? These are questions that could be answered relatively soon.
Rodgers’ contract has some language in it that would make the move difficult if the Panthers wanted to do it. The Packers say Rodgers isn’t going anywhere, but he may have other plans. How about a trip to Carolina!
