In a close victory, Duke beat Wake Forest 75-73 at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Kyle Filipowski, Jeremy Roach and Tyrese Proctor had superb double figure performances to help improve their overall record of 16-6. The Blue Devils are on an 11-game win streak at home. After defeating the Deacs, the Blue Devils conference record is 7-4 tied with NC State. Despite losing the Deacs had three key performances from Damari Monsanto, Tyree Appleby and Andrew Carr, who finished in double figures.
Before the Matchup Jon Scheyer told Carolina Blitz about the Blue Devils Mindset in their rematch against Wake Forest.
“They beat the crap out of us the last time when they played us. It wasn’t a good performance for us. They out played us. Their really good. Their offense is as good as anyone else in our league. Their No.1 in offensive efficiency in our league, so we know it’s a big time challenge. We should’ve learned that by now. We’re locked in for this game.

“A lot of it was how we guarded the ball screen. I think Jeremy is an elite player. He made tough two’s. He made in between shots. He made shots at the rim. He played well. I think Proctor has got better and better. I was a fan of us his just watching him warm up. He’s young. He has great size and pace. He’s doesn’t have to have the ball in his hands the whole time. Nice player.”
Forbes is ready for his next matchup despite the loss against the Devils and still has faith in the Deacs to get wins this season.
“Nobody likes to lose. We ran the Gauntlet here to. We go to Notre Dame on Saturday and we’ve got Carolina on Tuesday. So hey let’s go. We signed up for it so let’s play.”
