CHAPEL HILL, N.C.— The day before the transfer portal window closed,on Thursday, 6-foot-5 North Carolina guard D’marco Dunn entered the transfer portal.
Dunn is now the seventh player to enter the transfer portal out of the Tar Heels program since not making the NCAA Tournament, joining Caleb Love,Puff Johnson, Dontrez Styles, Tyler Nickel,Justin Mckoy and Will Shaver.
Dunn averaged 2.7 points,0.7 rebounds,0.2 assists and 10.3 minutes per game shooting 42.4 percent from the field and 32.4 percent from beyond the arc this past season. Dunn’s best game of the 2022-23 season was against Louisville in January, he scored a career high 14 points and five rebounds.
Embed from Getty ImagesIn his career at UNC, Dunn played in 50 games averaging 1.9 points,0.5 rebounds and 0.2 assists.
Before signing with the Tar Heels in 2021, Dunn was ranked No.49 high school prospect and No.11 shooting guard via ESPN TOP 100 class of 2021.
Dunn is still undecided on where he plans to play this Fall.
