Singer Taylor Swift, girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, made two $50,000 donations to a GoFundMe for the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the woman killed in the mass shooting at a Super Bowl victory parade of the Chiefs on Wednesday.
Lopez-Galvan, 43 years-of-age, a beloved DJ in Kansas City, was celebrating the Chiefs’ victory with her husband, son and daughter and hundreds of thousands of other fans at the city’s Union Station, when she was fatally shot. Twenty-two others, including children at the parade, were injured. Lopez-Galvan hosted “Taste of Tejano” on local radio station KKFI-FM, as Lisa G. The mother of two had deep roots and connections in Kansas City and was one of the few Latina DJs in the area.
“She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many. We ask that you continue to keep her family in your prayers as we grieve the loss of her life,” the GoFundMe description reads. The fundraiser had raised over $200,000 as of Friday morning.
The fund’s initial goal aimed to raise $75,000 to offer financial support to Lopez-Galvan’s family during this unimaginable time, as they wrap their minds around the tragedy.
A representative for Swift confirmed to CNN she made the donations.

Swift previously made a charitable donation on behalf of shooting victims in 2018 to March for Our Lives, writing on social media at the time no one should have to fear gun violence.
“No one should have to go to school in fear of gun violence. Or to a nightclub. Or to a concert. Or to a movie theater. Or to their place of worship,” she wrote. “I’ve made a donation to show my support for the students, for the March For Our Lives campaign, for everyone affected by these tragedies, and to support gun reform.”
As stated previously, twenty-two others, eleven of whom were under the age of 16, were wounded in the shooting, so their lives will never be the same again. Investigators are still trying to identify who is responsible but say an agrument may have led to the shooting. Police have two juvenile persons of interest in custody and are trying to determine whether others were involved.
Swift is currently in Melbourne, Australia on her “Eras Tour.”
Meanwhile, Kelce said he was “heartbroken” over the shooting.
“I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me.”
The Chiefs said all players, coaches, staff and their families were safe and accounted for after the shooting.
