Virginia Tech is ready to improve on last season

Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry opened up his media availability at the ACC football kickoff by stating he is, “Excited about the team we can be.” Virginia Tech ended last year with a 7-6 record that Pry called a rebuilding year. Coach Pry described Tech as “A place you should expect to compete for the playoffs and expect to compete for a championship that’s who tech is!”

Tech DL and Virginia native Antwaun Powell-Ryland who had 9.5 sacks last season hopes to score a touchdown this season. “It’s always better to bet on home than go somewhere else” Antwaun said when asked about returning to his home state after leaving the Florida Gators.

Virginia Tech begins their season on August 31st against Vanderbilt.
