The Clemson Tigers are coming off a disappointing season by their standards. After a 9-4 record last year and going 4-4 in ACC play that isn't stopping head coach Dabo Swinney from rolling with Cade Klubnik.
“It’s always great when you’re not starting over, and you’ve got a guy that’s grown, has some experience under his belt. I mean, Cade is a great young man, a great talent. He’s just blossoming right before our eyes physically and mentally, also as a leader.” Swinney said when asked about his QB.
Klubnik had 19 touchdowns and 9 interceptions in his first season as a full time starter. Something that will surely have to improve if Clemson wants to get back to championship contention. When asked about his touchdown to interception radio Klubnik stated “yeah, I think the first thing would be obviously getting to be in the same system again. I think being able to know the offense, I mean, it almost feels like the longer you’re in a system, you know how to get through progressions faster, cancel out yes, no, pre-snap progressions, knowing when you’re hot off of blitzes, knowing the protections better. That obviously comes with getting the ball out of my hand quicker. Less interceptions, less sacks, being able to make big-time plays with either my legs or throwing the ball downfield.”
