Carolina Panthers General Manager Dan Morgan, spoke to the media following the team’s last open practice before heading to Germany for the NFL Munich game. Morgan recapped Carolina’s moves leading up to the trade deadline, while giving his midseason thoughts on Dave Canales, Bryce Young, and potential trade offers for other key Panthers.
Morgan on Jonathan Mingo: “We appreciate everything [Jonathan] did for us…we thought it was a good deal for us and Dallas. They get a young player that they can grow and develop, and we get a draft pick that we’re happy with. I think it was a win-win for both sides.”
Morgan on Bryce Young’s future and potential trade offers: “I think every week we’re addressing Bryce…I think we do see [Bryce] growing everyday. We’re excited to work with him and keep working with him in the future. At the end of the day, we’ll have those conversations when the season ends and see where we’re at.”
When asked about fielding trade offers for Young, Dan responded “I never opened that door. I didn’t want to trade Bryce, still don’t.”
Morgan on Jaycee Horn: “Yeah, people call…and I will politely tell them he’s not available. He’s ours.
