In front of 10,568 fans, Norfolk native Keyshawn “The Businessman” Davis (12-0, 8 KOs) handled business Friday night despite facing an overweight opponent Gustavo Lemos (29-2,19 KOs) in his return to Norfolk, Virginia finishing with a demolishing second round knockout.
At weigh-ins on Thursday,
Davis weighed in at 134.2 making the 135 pound weight limit while Lemos missed the weight by 6.4 pounds weighing in at 141.4.
The Virginia athletic commission’s rules mandate a fight-day weigh-in where boxers can’t rehydrate more than 10 pounds even if the fighters don’t miss weight, which is rare. Mike Coppinger of ESPN Reported.

Davis is eager to see what the future has in-store for his career. He has big plans ahead of him and wants to become a contender vs the king of the lightweight division Gervonta “Tank” Davis.
“I didn’t know that right hand would put him down, but I did hit him flush right on the chin,” Davis said regarding the first knockdown. “Next thing I know I see him getting off the canvas. … A world title definitely will be next. 2025, we got big, big plans. Gervonta…. knock,knock. He has no choice but to fight me especially what I just did tonight.”
Davis is an Olympic silver medalist rated No. 6 by ESPN at lightweight.
