Bills Miller Suspended 4 Games – The NFL cracked down the whip and showed no mercy. Buffalo Bills defensive end Von Miller was suspended four games on Tuesday for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, the league announced.

Miller will be forced to sit out the Bills’ next four games without pay, and will be eligible for reinstatement on October 28.

Although the league did not go into specifics, the suspension likely dates back to Miller’s felony domestic violence incident in 2023. Miller turned himself into the authorities in Texas last November on suspicion of assaulting a pregnant woman, which is a third-degree felony. Miller was accused of injuring his longtime girlfriend and mother of his children at the residence they shared in Dallas. Among other things, Miller allegedly choked his girlfriend twice during an argument, ripped out a patch of her hair and stomped on her laptop.

Miller’s girlfriend minimized the incident and adamantly denied there was an assault. Miller later said that the allegations were completely false and “blown out of proportion.” The case was eventually dismissed without charges being filed. The NFL has been using their extensive resources to continue the investigation.

When talking about and discussing the allegations for the first time in December 2023, Miller said, “Honestly, I wasn’t on social media before and definitely not on social media now. But from the things that have been brought to my attention, everything is false. And I would love to sit here and say, ‘Y’all know me!’ But it’s not, this is not that type of situation because domestic violence really happens around the world — for men and women. And it’s a serious situation so I would not pull that card.
“All I can say is it is just a matter of time before everything gets set straight.”

This was not his first rodeo. Miller was also investigated for domestic violence in 2021 when he was a member of the Denver Broncos. He was not charged in that incident, either.

Miller is in the third year of a massive six-year, $120 million deal with the Bills. The 35-year-old has taken the field in all four of their games this season, and has registered five total tackles and gotten home to the quarterback three time while helping the Bills get off to a fast start at 3-1. With his suspension, Miller will miss Buffalo’s game against C.J. Stroud and the high-flying Houston Texans this weekend, and then matchups against the New York Jets, Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks. He will be able to make his return in a division game versus the Miami Dolphins on November 3.

Raiders Open to Trading WR Adams – Davante Adams is willing to bet on himself and wants out of Las Vegas.
The Raiders dynamic and All-Pro wide receiver, who has been linked to Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets for several months, has expressed to the organization he would prefer to be traded, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

While a deal does not appear forthcoming, the news comes surrounded by growing speculation that Adams’ time in ‘Sin City’ is running out sooner rather than later and just mere hours after he had given a neutral answer when asked about never playing another down as a Raider.

“All I can control is this talk we’re having right here. And then, after we’re done with this, all I can control is the next thing that I’m on to,” Adams said during an interview Tuesday morning on “Up & Adams with Kay Adams.”

“I’ma get up in a minute and go get a nice workout in, and that’s all I can control.”

Now that the circumstances in Las Vegas appears to have reached its boiling point, the two sides are likely to be linked again, especially after he was asked about missing Jets quarterback Rodgers by Kay Adams.

“How could you not?” Adams replied.

Talks about the potential Adams movement seemed to gain steam over the past 24 hours, after a screenshot that circulated on social media that appeared to show Raiders coach Antonio Pierce liking a post that indicated the receiver may be traded.

Additionally, a report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal published Tuesday cited a league source with knowledge of the situation that the Raiders are open to the idea of trading Adams and that the relationship between the Raiders first year coach and star wide receiver has fractured.

ESPN’s senior insider Adam Schefter reported that Vegas would “consider” a trade package that included a second-round pick and additional compensation.
During the sit-down interview that took place, Adams said that he had not communicated with his head coach and he did not “really know exactly what that was about” in regards to the social media post.

“It’s one of those situations where I just keep my head down and keep doing my thing and let the chips fall where they may,” Adams said. “There’s been no communication with anybody from the team since that became a thing, but it’s kind of just like the weekly, ‘What’s up with Tae?’ thing. It’s always some sort of drama. But, at the end of the day, 17 doesn’t create any of it.”

“So, people can say what they want, but I’m just chilling and trying to be the model for not stirring the pot and just locking in and doing what I got to do.”

Adams went on to say that hearing his name involved in constant trade speculation “gets annoying,” though that is not likely to cease anytime soon.

The comradery and relationship between Adams and Rodgers, who is a four-time MVP, from their days together in Green Bay playing for the Packers certainly has given legs to the speculation around the receiver potentially coming to the ‘Big Apple’, to help the Jets make the playoffs for the first time since 2010. Adams had 669 catches, 8,121 yards and 73 touchdowns while teammates with Rodgers for those eight seasons in ‘Title Town’. This season, Adams production has dropped like a rock with 18 catches for 209 yards and one touchdown with the Raiders. He missed last Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns after missing practice on Thursday due to a hamstring injury.
