Fever Star Clark Ties WNBA Record – Every time she steps onto the court, you can expect another record to go down. Caitlin Clark, in just two years’ time, has become one of the biggest attractions to ever happen in the 29-year history of the WNBA, and just three days after the Indiana Fever superstar and MVP favorite had another heated exchange with her rival from back in her college days, Angel Reese, the guard is making league history after another show-stopping performance Tuesday night.
Clark, after opening the season with a triple-double, the third in her career, in the Fever’s 35-point win over the Chicago Sky on Saturday, had another strong outing Tuesday: 27 points, 11 assists and 5 rebounds.
In just 42 games, Clark has not only become one of the faces of the entire league but now she has tied a long-standing record that took the previous holder over 400 games to achieve. On Tuesday, Clark tied Courtney Vandersloot’s record for most games with 20 points and 10 assists after doing it for the 10th time.
To put this achievement into even more context, legendary WNBA superstar Diana Taurasi, who recently retired, only posted those magic numbers on nine occasions during her 20-year professional career despite appearing in over 565 games.
It is becoming more and more apparent with each passing game that Clark has the ability to carry the league on her shoulders for many years to come, and that will surely make the Fever one of the biggest draws in pro basketball on the men or women’s side.

Aces Wilson Continues to Stack Stat Line – What happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas, it can travel. This has to come with a bit of an asterisk. It is only the second game of the season, and the Las Vegas Aces may have simply wanted their MVP A’ja Wilson to continue getting into regular season game shape.
But they made a head-scratching move really on Tuesday, and if you want to be critical of the decision, it looked a heck of a lot like stat stuffing.
The Aces were taking it to the rebuilding Connecticut Sun, leading by 33 points, 81-48, with nine minutes left in the fourth quarter. Wilson was resting comfortably on the bench, surely safe to sit the rest of the way in route to an easy victory, after their 14-point loss to the defending champion New York Liberty on Saturday.
But then Aces coach Becky Hammon, who is a Hall of Famer in her own right as a player, put her back in the game, and opposing fans could not help but notice that at the time, Wilson had nine rebounds, one away from a double-double.
Wilson did collect that extra board, and she checked out of the game after playing five more minutes in a contest that was well in hand. It certainly brought some unnecessary injury risk, even if the odds of that happening were slim.
The lefty superstar ended up with a great stat line: 22 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.
Wilson does hold the WNBA’s record streak of 20 and 10 games, with five, that she set last season.
She had 31 points and 16 rebounds in the Aces’ season debut, and now she has gotten 24-10 to add to the equation in the early going.
Aces fans are surely just glad Wilson did not suffer an injury with the game already decided.
