2021 NBA Draft Lottery – Miles Bridges Will Represent the Hornets

The 2021 NBA Draft Lottery will be held Tuesday night. Organizations are announcing who will be representing them at the event. The Charlotte Hornets have chosen third year stand-out Miles Bridges for the honor.

Three seasons ago, Bridges, a former Michigan State Spartan, was selected in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft. The Hornets made a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers to trade first round picks. The rest is history.

Despite a much improved season, the Hornets are still making a lottery selection. Charlotte has the 11th best chance at receiving the number one overall pick at 1.8 percent. They could also get up to a to top four position, which happened last season when they selected 2021 Rookie of the Year LaMelo Ball with the third overall pick. The chances of that occurring are 8.5 percent. In 1991, the Hornets had the number 1 overall pick and they selected All-Star player Larry Johnson out of UNLV.

Other high-profile contributors will be Ben Wallace for the Detroit Pistons and Hakeem Olajuwon, representing the Houston Rockets. Also, representing the Minnesota Timberwolves will be Rookie of the Year runner-up Anthony Edwards and for the Toronto Raptors, Fred Van Fleet.

The Hornets are counting on Bridges to bring good fortune their way tomorrow night at the draft lottery. It begins at 8:30 EST on ESPN.
