Carolina Panthers Taylor Moton was selected #8 in the NFL’s Top 11 offensive tackles list. He has been underrated for the last couple of seasons, but now he is starting to make a name for himself.

Moton was selected in the second round of the 2017 NFL draft out of Western Michigan. He really started to show some signs of progress in his second campaign, allowing only 2 sacks, 1 quarterback hit and 25 quarterback hurries in 2018. Moton really shinned in 2020. Even though he gave up 3 sacks, he allowed no quarterback hits and only 16 quarterback hurries in 657 snaps.
The Panthers have some uncertainty on the offensive line but Moton is not one of them. Carolina placed a franchise tag on Moton, guaranteeing him $13,754 million for the 2021 season. Each week he plays without a long-term deal, his asking price from the organization will grow. A long-term extension should be in the works. The Panthers have two weeks (July 15) to work out a contract with Moton or he will have to play this season with no security.
