In this edition of The Pearl Reports we caught up with Maseo Bolin, Hall of Fame QB from your N.C. A&T State University Aggies to discuss this week’s homecoming festivities and HBCU football in general.
On Saturday October 29th, N.C. A&T face off against Campbell University.
Maseo has spent the past 20 years managing teams in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, he has recently been installed as the President of the Sports Hall of Fame for the University.
Bolin is also a member of the West Meck High School Sports Hall of Fame and each May his group spearheads a yearly event properly named West Meck and Friends which includes the original 10 high schools in Charlotte from the 80’s & early 90’s.
N.C. AT&T Homecoming Festivities kick off with Kid Capri! Thursday Oct. 27th 9:30pm at Elm & Bain with a portion of the proceeds supporting the QC Aggie Alumni Endowment!! (Aggies Alumni Facebook)
*Bolin started at quarterback all four seasons that he was a member of the N.C. A&T State University football team. Bolin holds the Aggies single-season passing record with 2,262 yards set back in 1995. Bolin also helped the Aggies win the 1992 MEAC title and is the program’s second all-time leading passer (6,607 yards), and ranks second all-time in completions (500) and touchdown passes (48).
Bolin will continue to focus on the Hall of Fame’s endowment initiatives. “The A&T Sports HOF has a $1 million dollar Marvin B Graeber endowment. The university can draw on the interest and use those funds to support student athletes with scholarships. This is a great advantage for non-revenue generating sports as well. The HOF collaborates with the University as our athletic department takes the lead on selection of the student athletes to receive scholarship dollars. We are a proud supporters of NC A&T SU athletics,” stated Bolin.
