ACC Football Descends on Charlotte This Week

The 2023 ACC Football Kickoff begins tomorrow at the Westin Hotel in Charlotte, NC with this year being a 3-day event compared to the previous years’ two-day format.


The new three-day format will allow 38 hours of live coverage from Charlotte with different player and coach interviews daily.


ACC Commissioner Dr. Jim Phillips will open the event by addressing all attending media and those watching at home live on the ACC Network from his Commissioner’s forum at 9:30 am.


ACCN will feature more than 70 live interviews with players and coaches starting Tuesday with Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami and Syracuse. Florida State, the No. 3 team recently ranked on the Way Too Early Top 25, will continue the coach and player interviews on Wednesday alongside Duke, Pitt, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

The coverage will conclude on Thursday with the reigning ACC champion, Clemson, alongside No. 21 North Carolina, NC State, Wake Forest and Boston College.
All 14 ACC head coach and athlete participant press conferences will be streamed on ACC Network Extra (ACCNX).


Six players who are Charlotte-area or North Carolina natives will be in attendance such as North Carolina’s QB Drake Maye (Huntersville, NC) and LB Cedric Gray (Charlotte, NC), Syracuse’s QB Garrett Shrader (Charlotte, NC), Duke’s OL Jacob Monk (Clayton, NC), and NC State’s LB Payton Wilson (Hillsborough, NC) and DB Ayden White (Asheville, NC).
