Patrick Mahomes Sr. has been arrested on suspicion of a DWI.
The father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and a former MLB pitcher, was booked in the Smith County Jail in Tyler, Texas, right outside of Dallas, on Saturday night, according to jail records.

This is not his first rodeo. He is facing a charge of DWI for the third time or more, according to the records, and his bond was set at $10,000. The charge is a third-degree felony and carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison if he is convicted, according to state law.

Mahomes Sr. did not immediately acknowledge PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Mahomes Sr., 53 years old, was previously charged with a DWI offense in 2018, according to Bleacher Report. He pled guilty and served 40 days behind bars, which he served on the weekends in a county jail.
